A Better Way to Better Care

At 121MD, our mission is to provide easy access to preventive services and early treatment of acute illness, rather than a rushed, insurance-driven visit. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, our direct primary care and concierge medicine practice was founded by Dr. Chris Ewin in 2003 and has since been joined by Drs. Kristin Freeman, Kriss Myers, and Kathe Supavong. Dr. Ewin considers himself a family physician first, prioritizing the time to truly listen and treating patients like family rather than case numbers, having been an early adopter of direct primary care after years in traditional practice.

In today’s frustrating managed medical system, the primary focus of personal health care has become lost, with soaring doctor-to-patient ratios, longer office waits, and rising healthcare costs even as employee benefits continue to erode. Our physician team brings complementary specialties, including sports medicine, to support patients across every stage of life, and Dr. Ewin has also built a dedicated program helping patients overcome opioid dependency, reflecting the practice’s commitment to meeting patients wherever their health needs take them.

121MD has created a better solution for personalized health care. Our patients pay a reasonable monthly retainer fee for affordable, convenient access to care from their personal physician, resulting in healthier, happier, and more productive lives. This model gives patients a personal relationship with their doctor, prompt access, and unlimited office visits with no co-pay, along with little or no waiting time in the office.

Our approach centers on a focus on preventive care, delivered in an unhurried atmosphere with dedicated wellness consultations. Patients also benefit from online consultations, general messages, prescription refills, and appointment scheduling, ensuring care is always within reach.
