Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Our commitment

LifeSpanMD wants everyone to be able to use lifespan.md, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation. We are working to make this website easier to see, hear, read and navigate for all visitors.

Our target

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). lifespan.md does not yet fully meet this standard. We describe the known gaps below and are working to close them.

What this statement covers

This statement covers the LifeSpanMD website at https://lifespan.md. The partner practices listed in our directory are independent practices that run their own websites, patient portals and booking tools. Those sites are not covered by this statement. If you have trouble using a partner practice’s website, please contact that practice directly, or contact us and we will help you reach them.

Known limitations

We test lifespan.md with automated accessibility tools. As of our most recent review on October 30, 2026, we know about the following issues:

  • Page structure. Most pages do not yet mark a “main” content area and do not offer a “skip to content” link. Screen reader and keyboard users may have to move through the menu on every page before reaching the content.
  • Moving background video. Several pages, including the home page, play silent background videos automatically and on a loop, and there is not yet a button to pause or stop them. These videos are decorative and have no sound.
  • Images. Some images do not yet have text descriptions. In our partner-practice directory, the practice logos act as links but do not announce the practice name to screen readers, and the nearby “Learn More” links do not say which practice they lead to.
  • Headings. Many partner-practice profile pages do not have a main page heading, which makes them harder to navigate by heading.
  • Link text. Some profile pages show full web addresses as link text instead of a description.
  • Color contrast. Some text does not have enough contrast against its background.
  • Menus and buttons. Some menus and buttons are not yet labeled or structured correctly for assistive technology.
  • Third-party content. Some pages include content provided by other companies, such as embedded YouTube videos, Google Maps and Google reCAPTCHA spam protection on our forms. We do not control how accessible that content is. If any of it gets in your way, please use the contact options below.

You may notice an accessibility toolbar on our site. It lets you adjust things like text size and contrast for your own visit, but it does not fix the issues listed above, and we do not rely on it as a substitute for fixing them.

If any part of this website is hard for you to use, we will help you get the information or service another way. For example, we can:

  • send you information from any page by email or mail,
  • help you find and contact a partner practice, or
  • take your inquiry by email instead of through a web form.
